Today’s show we have on author Boyd Hipp who wrote “Glad You Are Here“.
During the show Boyd and Rebbekah talk about how he didn’t even realize that he was an alchoholic because as he states “I was still functioning, and I only drank for a few hours each night….” however family and friends were very worried about Boyd so they set up an intervention.
Boyd talks about his first few hours at the center, how he felt those first few days while detoxing and what he learned throughout the whole experience.
Boyd talks about the withdrawals, how he coped with no outside contact with anyone for 39 days by writing in his journal which he started to be able to give to his children which he eventually made into his book “Glad You Are Here”.
This is a very touching interview a must listen to anyone who lives or loves an addict.
More about Glad You Are Here
