The No Complaining Rule

On October 31 Jon Gordon author of The Energy Bus and The No Complaining Rule was on our WBNW 1120 AM Boston Radio show talking about his new book “The No Complaining Rule“.
Have you ever noticed how often you complain? I don’t mean the legit complaints that once you say them you can give an honest solution but the complaints that just fly out of your mouth that honestly didn’t need to happen?
Lately I had been surrounded by people who all they did was complain, and it started rubbing off on me…I hated how it made me feel, to be honest like I say on the interview at first I didn’t realize it had rubbbed off on me till an incident happened that made me stop and look back over the past 2-3 months.
Jon is very straight forward and down to earth and his book is written like a fiction book but is actually based on a real company.
About The No Complaining Rule
“It’s Tuesday morning and Hope walks into her office with puffy eyes, a swollen head and a broken heart. Unfortunately her company, EZ Tech, is in worse shape than she is. The fact that their computer batteries are catching on fire are the least of their problems. Employees have been posting negative comments about management on internet blogs for the world to see, the media is attacking the credibility of the company, morale is at an all time low, negativity is at an all time high and the stock price is falling faster than the Titanic. As head of Human Resources, Hope is charged with finding a solution to overcome the biggest challenge in her company’s history. In the process of battling her own adversity she discovers The No Complaining Rule and other positive ways to save her company and herself from ruin.”
In the spirit of his international best selling book, The Energy Bus, Jon Gordon once again shares an inspiring and enlightening story that reveals a powerful way to tackle the biggest problem in business and life today… negativity. It costs organizations billions of dollars and impacts the morale, productivity and health of individuals and teams. Based on an actual company that created and implemented The No Complaining Rule, Gordon delivers an engaging story filled with innovative ideas and practical strategies to develop positive leaders, organizations and teams. For managers, team leaders or anyone looking to turn negative energy into positive solutions, The No Complaining Rule shares powerful principles and an actionable plan to win the battle against individual and organizational negativity. When you implement The No Complaining Rule you’ll spend less time and energy on problems and more time focused on solutions.

More about the Rising Star Healing System
Founded by Derek O’Neill
The Rising Star is probably the most complimentary healing system on the planet at this time. It raises the vibration of the aura (human energy field) and the field around every living thing. The Rising Star allows the practitioner and the receiver to still the mind and transfer divine life energy to the part of your being that needs it most, for your healing and rebalancing to full health. Because of this and because it works on so many different levels at once, a person receiving it, we will say for a bad back, may find that another illness also gets helped. This is because it works on all levels: THE MIND, THE PHYSICAL, and THE SPIRITUAL. It is as if the healing energy knows precisely where it is needed most (sometimes not to the place that you think is best). It goes where it will do the most good for your overall well-being.

Mastering the Art of Living: “Improving Vs Changing”
April 5, 2008 by Nani
Filed under Education, Forgiveness, Health, Ho'oponopono, Personal Growth, Positive Thinking, Reducing Stress, Self Esteem, Self Help, Spirituality
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: (This applies to work, relationships and family)
Let’s examine the possibility of a simple attitude adjustment in how we look at improvement in living as the way to move forward rather than change. Why? Change implies bringing all the baggage of the past along. That means allowing for the “we cannot know what we do not know” we explored before in Ho’oponopono. This often includes letting go of “stuff”, such as the voices of your youth; of the you cannot do that; should not do that; are you kidding me”, and negative thoughts of others, that fill our psyche with negative energy. We end up fighting not just the desire to change but the voices that have haunted for years as to why we can’t. So change becomes an exhausting endeavor? And when humans are exhausted they are prone to give up and believe they have failed.
Thinking deeper; when you decide to select improvement in living you bring forward yourself and the “definite intent” of your being front and center. You leave the other “stuff” behind because all of us strive to improve and are happy when we do.
Defending this prognosis: Change has two responses either reactive or response.
First, reactive meaning looking for what’s wrong. Second ,response meaning looking for what’s right. See the difference! Subtle change, major shift towards moving forward with hope which now flows as a quiet stream as we move through our day.
Word to the wise: Make time for cherishing each other.
Hint: Knowledge is a result. Going backward is a result. Incomplete is a result. Begin every task with the “intent to finish”. Why? So you do not get caught in the circle of repeat.
These principles called mastering the art of living are aligned with the laws of attraction and the art of forgiveness called Ho’oponopono. “Attitude is everything, there is nothing else!” Nani

How to Survive Domestic Abuse-Sexual Assault

Have you survived domestic abuse or are you now going through it?
Jennifer Munger is our special guest speaker this week. Jennifer will be sharing her story, how her mother battled depression, how her and her brother found their mother after one suicide attempt and how she has used what she has gone through to reach out and help others with her work with The New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault.

Thank you again for all your love and support.Historically I have attached so much meaning to my “story” of the past and because of that I was living in the past and not truly focusing on the future and what I wanted to create. I spent over 10 years in therapy, but felt as though it kept me stuck. The turning point in my life occured when I made the choice to begin looking within…I truly took a guided tour of my inner-self. I am a full on believer in The Secret and Law of Attraction. I have seen them work in my life, without even realizing what it was until I educated myself. I am now in a place where I want to reach out to other women with similiar backgrounds and help them get to a place where they can enhance their inner greatness. Where they can truly be full of self expression, by ripping away the limiting beliefs obtained in early childhood. I am on the Board of Directors of a non for profit called The New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault. This allows me to participate in changing the way society perceives the issue.-Jennifer Munger
The Ancient Art of Forgiveness with Nani Linder

Nani Aki Linder carries many titles. She is a national speaker on behalf of global issues. She is a published author. She is a teacher. She is a mentor. She is a spiritual advisor. And all of these tie together under the simple heading of “educator.”
Nani shares with us the ancient art of forgiveness called Ho’oponopono, the process of forgiveness, and how attitude is everything.
“We choose our words, words are very powerful…you can choose to be happy, you can choose to be poor, you can choose to have peace in your family.”
Ho’oponopono teaches us how to let go, release our fears and the parts of our subconscious that is holding us back.
One thing that Nani said during the interview that really hit home to me was how she greets each day as a new day and that the day ends at midnight…so it is now the past, you have been given a gift-respect, trust and forgiveness are all in our power to do each and everyday!
We have all heard about “The Secret” and how people are starting to teach Ho’oponopono in sound bite fashion….hear what Nani feels is missing in the teachings of “The Secret” and how that little piece may be what is holding you back from your true happiness.
As always Nani is full of wisdom, I invite you to listen to this show and post your thoughts, questions and comments.

December 27, 2007 by Rebbekah
Filed under New Year's Resolutions, Reducing Stress, Self Esteem
As I was sitting at my kitchen table this morning, I glanced up and saw the calendar. It hit me like a ton of bricks…in less then 5 days it will be 2008. Now I know that it shouldn’t have come as a big surprise I mean Christmas was just this week, but it did hit me totally by surprise!
I sat there thinking what new year resolutions can I make…I took a long hard look at the past year. Not just for business, in fact I am not going to even post what my business goals are but more my personal goals for myself.
I am not going to post “I need to lose weight and get back into shape” that is a given lol…I decided I really needed to take this time to take a good long look at my life and the way things have changed over the past year.
This year I have been struggling with many feelings. Feelings of helplessness as I watched my grandmother in the hospital getting weaker and weaker, feelings of anger as I see how one person in our life can not only make me crazy and feel totally out of control but watch as this one person makes my own kids and hubby feel worthless. I am not one to hold grudges, or feelings of hate…but this year I have had those times where I just couldn’t stand to look at someone…this person who has totally changed our world, totally lives for their selves and their selves only, watched as this person destroyed our family and watched as control was taken away and how we (hubby and I) gave our control away…not meaning too but in the sense of wanting to help a family member, instead of actually helping him we only enabled him to continue being abusive not only to me but the rest of my family as well.
Last night I watched as he took an item that my MIL bought for me the last Christmas she was alive and give it to his daughter because she wanted it and her mother bought it…but it was mine! I used to just sit there and let my FIL do whatever he wanted to do, but this past year I have seen by letting him get away with this stuff because I hate conflict it did nothing to stop the behavior it only increased it. In the end I got my items back but the whole situation was a fight, he tried to tell me I was lying, etc etc and that he had the right to give away anything he pleased…I had to remind him that not everything in this house is his….it is now our house…yes, there are items in this house that are his but not everything that is sitting around here is his to give away. I had just told my SIL that those Gingerbread people were mine (she was admiring them..) and that Mom had given those to me the Christmas before she died. She then proceeded to go to dad and tell him he wanted them. My son came running to me and said that she was bagging them up…
The whole situation was heart breaking and made me feel like once again, I had no control over my life.
Why did I tell you this whole story, I am sure you are all wondering why in the world????
Well last night’s situation really hit home to me this morning when I realized that I wanted to write down some real New Year’s resolutions so here goes….
1. Take control over my life once again
2. Don’t allow others to walk all over myself or my family
3. Not be afraid to speak up in situations
4. Stop letting family members walk all over my family in the “name of respect”-respect needs to be earned too-here I mean I am worth being respected, just because someone is older then me (from the “I am your elder, you will do what I say” generation) does not mean I need to give them respect if they do not respect me.
5. Don’t run from confrontations
6. TAKE Back CONTROl-this is my life, my family, my kids and my house-I will not allow others to tell me how to run our life and I will not allow myself to be negative all the time.
7. Try to let go feelings of anger. This one is a hard one for me, I woke up this morning sick to my stomach, knots in my stomach, pain….why? Because I kept thinking about how much my life is not the way I want it to be…I allow one person to ruin my day! I will not allow anyone to ruin my day, whatever happens it is their problem and they can learn to deal with it.
8. Learn to let go-this one is a very hard one for me! I can brew about a situation till I am blue in the face or until my hubby yells at me (lol) that he is sick of hearing about it…not because I like brewing but I am scared to confront the people who are making me feel this way.
This one will not be an easy one for me, as anyone who knows me well will tell you I HATE confrontations and I tend to feel I am not “worthy” of speaking my thoughts or I am scared of others and what they think….and I don’t like to “rock the boat” but what good is that going to do.
I tell my kids to stand up to bullies and they will run but what do I do with the biggest bully in our lives? I let him do whatever he wants and say whatever he wants to me because I hate confrontations and I am afraid to speak my mind and tell it like I see it.
Not anymore!
So the short end of this post, my new year’s resolution is to gain control back in my life, and not allow others to control how I am feeling that day.
So what are your resolutions?
I don’t mean lose weight, stop smoking etc etc, what is it in your life you really want to change?
Post it here, and let me know
How to Look Good Naked…

I am so enthralled with Carson Kreesley because he is totally alignement with what I always say a woman needs to love herself for who she is and to express herself and go out into the world proud of you, no matter what.
What I want the most is to be able to meet Carson to be able to talk to someone who thinks just like me! To have him help me keep learning how to love me for me!
Women are wonderful creatures, we sacrifice daily for our loved ones…we don’t always take time for ourselves hence we tend to get sick (Raising my hand here), we tend to be the most critical of ourselves…me again…and WE TEND to not see what others see…we lack self confidence.
I know I do…self confidence can sometimes be a hard word to swallow…a hard thing to portray, a hard thing to remember.
I have done many things that I never thought I would. I started a podcast, I love talking, I love helping others it has been my desire since I started online 5 years to be a help to others, to share what I have been through to be able to give happiness and confidence and healing to others…it wasn’t easy and I second guess myself a lot.
I talk all the time about women needing to love themselves but I too have my days that I feel ugly, unloved, fat, unattractive.
Trust me, my confidence in that department is not good…lol…too many surgeries have left me scared and my belly UGLY!Unless I had plastic surgery (NO WAY) to reconstruct my stomach area that area will never be the same.
There are many times I want to hide from my own hubby because I hate my stomach area. I have a scar from my navel to my pelvic area then across my lower pelvic area….it sags…its nasty and to me looks like a mountain range with valleys uggg lol sorry for the picture lol…. I don’t like the way I look in lingerie or normal underwear.
So you see, I know what it is like to not love who I am…I go through this daily. When I was a teenager I was aneroxic and bulmic…though some days I still second guess myself.
I love that lifetime and Carson will be doing a show on this topic, all women need to know they are beautiful! And to start remembering that they are beautiful when they look in the mirror and start to second guess themselves.
I think we all need to unite together and pull together and learn to love ourselves for who we are, even those of us who know we should love ourselves for who we are…we still second guess ourselves.
Carson and Lifetime will do just that hooray!

Discover Your Passion

Have you ever noticed that some of the happiest, most successful people in the world share one major characteristic? They love what they do. I mean have you ever heard of a self-made millionaire who hates what he or she does for a living? Quite the contrary, they are passionately enthused about how they earn money. And believe it or not, there are many spiritual laws and principles that actually cause this result to occur. |
Instilled within every one of us is a passion; a desire that lives within us to participate in activity that can make time seem non-existent when we are involved in it. This passion comes from our soul. And that’s where it lives. As I said before, this passion lives within each one of us.
Any successful person knows how to consciously tap into this passion. Once they do, they begin figuring out how they can earn a living through it.
Take professional singers for example. Most professional singers that made it on their own and came from nothing started out as a person with a passion. The passion that lived within them, once discovered becomes a catalyst for two things that are essential for success: opportunities and persistence.
Here’s how this works. Your passions were instilled in you when you were born from the universe. Whatever you are passionate about is what you were meant to do in this life. When you are embraced in an activity that correlates to your passion, the universe begins to provide you with opportunities to capitalize on.
Secondly, when involved in a passionate activity, you are in state of bliss and when in that state, all the other things like anger, frustration, laziness, sorrow - and any thing else that would otherwise cause you to give up - are non-existent. For that reason, you remain more persistent than just the average person who may be doing what you are doing but isn’t truly passionate about it.
The same is true for singers. Any professional singer will tell you that the music business is an externally hard business to get into and the drive and persistence needed to keep on going after all the rejection that occurs, are only found in those with a true passion for singing. And that is what separates those who make it from those who don’t.
These principles apply to anyone involved in any industry or lifestyle. If you really want to become successful and live in harmony with your soul, you must discover your passions.
As hard as it may be to believe, sometimes discovering one’s true passion can be a little difficult. Additionally, once you do, not many people are confident that they can actually make a living doing what they love. And that’s where I can help.
I have put together a best selling truly effective hypnosis program on how to discover your passions. This program will help you tap into both your subconscious and your soul to discover what you were put on this planet to do. Once you have that information, you will be able to start doing what you love and taking advantage of the opportunities that the universe will send your way.
Wait no more. The time is now:
Self Hypnosis To Discover Your Passion
I want you to be successful. Take your life to the next level!
Until next time,
Live in Abundant Possibility!
