Kathy O’Keefe Kanavos survived cancer twice by listening to her intuition. Despite the fact that all the medical tests conducted by her doctors at Dana Farber showed no sign of cancer, Kathy’s intuition and dreams told her otherwise. Because of her un-daunting belief in her ‘physician within,’ Kathy refused to take no for an answer and finally received an exploratory surgery that confirmed she did, in fact, have a stage 2 breast cancer. Five years later, after having been declared cancer free, she began getting the same intuitive hits. Once again, standard tests found nothing until the MRI she had to beg to get uncovered a stage 4 breast cancer. Kathy shares her insights in how to heed you inner physician, navigate a sometimes near-sighted medical system, and make the best use of both conventional and alternative therapies while overcoming illness.
“Always work with your doctors, but never forget that you make the final decisions. So, make decisions with which you can live and die.” Kathy O’Keefe Kanavos
