How do you perceive your home business?

What is the perceived value of working from a home office?
Have you ever been told that because you work from home or at home that you should be able to charge less than any other professional in your industry?
I haven’t yet, but there will come a day!
While reading through some other posts and after having listened to some of the shows here at blog talk radio, I’ve seen and heard of the perceptions attached to work at home moms or even work at home professionals.
Let me bring up some questions for you.
Have you invested time in researching your products, and your market?
Have you invested money in your equipment and tools?
Have you spent time building up contacts and learning what they want?
Have you worked hard to give your customer the best products that they can get?
If the answer is no, then you need to all of those things or get out of the business of being in business!
If the answer is yes, then what difference does it make that you work out of your home?
You still have to pay the bills to keep the lights and electricity on, right? You have to have a way to run your printer that makes your printed products, and the mixer that makes your bath and body products, and the computer that helps you keep in contact with your customers and suppliers. Right?
Those are all the same things that any other professional in your industry has to do!
Now, for the most important question…..
How do YOU perceive your business?
How many hats do you wear?

I have a business. Actually, I run two businesses. For one, I manufacture my products as well as sell and maintain a website and market, and manage the affiliates. The second one I don’t manufacture for, but I do keep the products on hand and run the site, manage affiliates and marketing. On top of those, I have a family and I used to work outside the home too! For health reasons, I left my job a few months ago. It helped but was not a cure so I’m trying to build up both businesses so that I can continue to stay home and support my family both financially and emotionally.
I’m sure there are other moms like me out there who feel there is no one to depend on but themselves, or so it would seem.
Try this! It worked for me.Get a piece of paper and pen. Write down that you want to have a support system that works and helps you all the time, whenever you need it. Write it down and say it to yourself over and over until you believe it. Ok. You don’t really have to say it one hundred times, but the point is to become clear about what you want. Now that you believe it, say it as if you have one. “I have a support system that works for me, that is there for me all the time and whenever I need it!” Fold up the paper and tuck it away somewhere. Forget about it.
You just focused your needs, your intentions and it will work for you. Let it go and it will come back to you as the support and help that you need. How do I know this works?
I did the same thing a last week and now look at where I’m at! It was through the great support system that I have found recently, that I found Heal Yourself Talk Radio and Rebecca White. I put out my intentions to the universe, of finding new connections and customers as well as the support system I needed to deal with my life.
It was the very same day that I was connected to Rebecca and got the chance to advertise through her site at a very special price. I had wanted this clearly in my mind but knew I did not have the funds available yet. Within the next 2 days I had made more contacts that led to more exposure for free! And after that, led to this post with Rebecca on her site.
I’m honored to be a guest writer for all the people who need healing and hope that I can help you in my own way as I take the same journey to healing as you are all on.

So, how old is your untrained child?
Mine is 6 and still is not using the bathroom on her own all the time. It really is much better than it was but it took going to school almost all year long before she even got this far! You see, my child is autistic, or so we think.
There could be some other issues stacked on top of it, or with it. If you aren’t familiar with Autism, then you need to read up. It is becoming so very predominant here in America. No matter what you may or may not think about the diagnosis, the behavior is a real issue for many people all over the world.
As a parent of a child with special behaviors, are you embarrassed to tell people that your 6 year old doesn’t even “get it” about going to the bathroom on her own? I am sometimes. For that reason alone, it’s easier to have a label. I hate labels though! Labels can confine a person and limit them to what another understands of that label alone. So many minds are closed when it comes to another person’s behavior and that is so sad. There are always reasons, whether right or wrong, for that behavior but many people don’t care about the why and are quick to judge. I hope you are not this way. I hope that you can open your heart and mind to what these children go through, and in turn, what we parents go through.
Often I feel helpless in helping my child. She obviously sometimes cannot express her emotions or thoughts to me in a way that I can understand. She becomes frustrated and angry and so do I, but not at her. I only want to help but it is not easy to know how.
Do you have a child like mine? Continue to love them as that is all that matters in the end and sometimes all we can do.
